Symphonik is a section within the Young Christian Workers Malta. This group of young people is aware of the musical talent present in young people, and so they strive to empower young people to express this talent. Merging this reality together with the young people’s potential to promote social justice, the members of Symphonik identify what social justice messages to promote through the section’s projects - mainly musical projects.

All proceeds from the sixth edition of the concert were donated to 20for30, a fundraising campaign launched by the YCW Malta aimed at raising €20,000 to sustain thirty missions of the International Coordination of the Young Christian Workers. Through Let the Sun Shine, Symphonik Choir with its mix of gospel, classical, rock, pop and traditional Maltese tunes, presented two nights of fun-filled music. This time round the proceeds from this concert were donated to the Equal Partners Foundation, a parent-run, non-profit foundation providing individualized support programmes to over 250 children and adults with disabilities and/or learning difficulties and their families. Symphonik believes that young people can make a difference. And what better way other than using their voice and talents to make this happen. |
